Dave Wilfert, co-owner and general manager of Wilfert Farms, LLC will be presenting ‘Wilfert Farms and its 142-year love affair with Manitowoc County.’
Wilfert Farms, LLC is a diversified farming operation with divisions of fresh produce, processing carrots, and grain and oilseeds. Dave grew up on a dairy farm in Manitowoc County and graduated from Mishicot High School. He continued his education at UW-Oshkosh, receiving degrees in both marketing and economics. He then worked off the farm for two years before returning in 1978 to once again become involved in the farming operation. Under his guidance, Wilfert Farms became a significant contributor to the Wisconsin carrot industry and became a well-known name in the fresh market industry.
